Hi guys,
I´m CM from Germany and want to visit your forum sometimes. I don´t understand french at all, but maybe some things I can understand and I´m looking forward to have a good time here
I drive a light tuned MZ Baghira Supermoto with maybe 60HP at the clutch and a Brembo P4 4 caliper with a 320mm BRAKING disk brake...so it´s not the stock shit brake *g* I hope to get the 60 horses at the rear quite soon
Normally she has black plastix on but since april this year I got some forest oliv plastix. They were in a bad condition but I´ve painted them oliv over the normal colour and now they look great...I guess
Then my father has two MZ Skorpion, one Tour and one Sport with BSM exhaust and full fairing plus Brembo P4 caliper.
But now....one picture says more than 1000 words....
please click HERE for pics
I hope you like it!
Greetz
CM
PS: Yes, on the track I was as fast as a guy on a Husky SMR 510 and faster than the LC4 guys

Thank you for the nice welcome!
I live in Cuxhaven, it´s in Niedersachsen (north Germany) or Euskirchen, it´s next to Cologne (Köln). I have to work there, so I´ve to move to Euskirchen.
@kobhalt: After my little visit on the racetrack, the footpegs were scratched and the skidplate too
...but the Michelin Pilot Sport tyres are shit! On my visit one year ago they slide nasty at the rear and now they start to chatter on the front horribly. Now I´m driving Metzeler Sportec M3, the best tyre I´ve ever driven! I think the Michelin Pilot Power is nearly similar...
Hehe, thanks for the little how to smilie lesson, but I guess that this is my last problem to understand them.
@Moonlight: What do you drive? A pumpkin? In Germany we say K(eine) T(ausend) M(eter) (no tousand meters) or Kick Twenty Minutes
@superdidi: A ETZ, nice bike, a friend got a ETZ 250 too. I have no problems to buy spare parts. All stuff I ordered was after max. 3 days at my MZ dealer. The factory closes its doors at 31.12.2008 but some other companys are interested in it. If you ask me, MZ is dead, they won´t come back and IF someone buys the rests (no engineering, only dead material without much importance) it´s just for his firm policy (depreciation, in german "Abschreibung").
The Skorpion is very nice, I like to ride them, too!
@beru: Nice, a 1000SF. I don´t know if BSM got some for you, I don´t think so but SR-Racing has! This manufacture is very good, nearly as good as akrapovic...or better! The chef is a little bit strange but okay, if his products are fine...
The BSM exhaust is much lighter than the stock L&W but it costs some horses....and it sounds much better
Last month I was in Belgium (area around Chiny, Florenville) and in France in Sedan, Villy la Ferté and Verdun for vacation. Very nice country!
With regards
CM

Hi Carlo !
Happy to meet you there
I ride a Supermoto too, but it's a blue one and... its a 125er !!!
But for the moment it's enough for me to lurn, and I haven't found the brakes limits yet (find the brakes very powerful for a 125 and I like it). Maybe when I can take corners as in your last picture, I'll think of increasing the engine size
I had never heard your "KTM" version before, but I like it very much (not sure Kobahlt will : he's deeaming of pumpkins )
Concerning the factory closing, do you mean that MZ was dead on the day when Malaysian business came inside it ?
Aren't you afraid for later spare parts delivery then ?

Hi CM, my bike is a Mulhacén "Café", from Derbi, a spanish motorbike with an Italian engine (125 cm3) !
The quality is not so good than a German product (MZ, BMW), but I like to drive it, and everything is ok actually....I don't know when I will have my first engine failure, maybe today ?

@beru: Don´t forget to change the mapping!
@BéO: The 125 SM is a very good bike! I got one before the Baghi when I was 16 (till 18) years old. The brakes are very good although they´re from grimeca. You should try BRAKING brake pads, they bite even better and keep longer (although the pad is more slim than the stock pad), so you don´t have to change them as often as the original ones. The fork and the shock is a little bit soft but that´s okay, it drives very good! If you want to keep the bike longer, think about the big bore kit... 200ccm, 20 horses and a lot of Nm´s! It should be maintainable...
Hah, KTM....some bikes are good but if you search a little bit deeper...no, they have no bike for me. The old LC4 engine is a race engine modificated for street so it´s clear that they break quite early (the first LC4 generation didn´t run 6000km without blowing up the engine!!!!). The cranc bearing isn´t very good and break in fact of doesn´t be modified when the engine got more power.I bough the Baghi with 7400km on it, now after two years she got over 23.000km on it!
When MZ closing its doors a firm will administer the rests... so you should get you spare parts. Maybe someone is buying the rests and produces them again? ...who knows...
For my part I get everything I need from other sources, too. Engine = Yamaha, fork = Marzocchi, shock = WP etc. etc..... and I want to copy the plastix with GFK plastic by myself. So it´s not that big deal that they close....
@l'indienne: I´ve changed the forum style to english and I´ll add a photo and so on soon
....and "citrouille" = pumpkin ...you know...the color...orange...
@Moonlight: Ah, a Derbi, cool! Everything I´ve read about the engine and the bike is, that it´s quite good with a good engine that you can compare to the MZ one (in my opinion they even look nearly similar...do they copy???????
) I hope that you bike will run till hell freezes and won´t break in the next days
